Created in 1971 by concert pianist James Dick, its Founder and Artistic Director, Round Top Festival Institute offers six weeks of intensive training for young talented musicians seeking a transition from conservatories and universities to a future professional career. Symphony orchestra, chamber orchestra, chamber music and solo repertoire are included in this concentrated 6-week program.
The students, whose admission is based on auditions and recommendations, and faculty share the Festival Institute campus creating a collegial atmosphere through which a constant flow of stimulating exchanges enlightens everyone.
The public has access do a robust concert schedule, ranging from Master Classes to showcases and opening and closing performances, during this six-week festival.
